The Spirit of Dance and Garba Lit Up the Campus of Himalaya International School!
The vibrant campus of Himalaya International School came alive today with the beats of music and the energy of garba at the grand “Baal Raas with Mamma” Dandiya Fiesta. Mothers and their little ones from Nursery to UKG classes joined in full enthusiasm for this colorful celebration. Children from all three branches – 80 Feet Road, Do Batti, and Bajaj Khana – participated with great excitement.
The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp before Goddess Durga, graced by Chairman Mr. Sunil Dora, Mrs. Honey Dora, Director Mr. Aditya Dora, Education Director Mr. H.S. Khalsa, and principals Mrs. Sonal Bhatt (HIS), Mrs. Vini Haq (80 Feet Road), Mrs. Antima Sisodiya (Do Batti), and Headmistress Mrs. Prachi Kapoor (HIS). As soon as the garba started, the entire atmosphere was filled with joy and festive spirit.
Starting at 6 PM, moms and kids lit up the evening in their vibrant garba outfits, twirling gracefully in a competition judged on their dressing, makeup, style, and garba moves. The judges, Mrs. Rakhi and Mrs. Sangeeta, had a tough time choosing the winners among so many stunning performances.
The event was wonderfully anchored by Principal Mrs. Sonal Bhatt and Principal Mrs. Vini Haq, whose energetic hosting made the event even more special.
Exciting competitions like Ramp Walk with Mamma, Mother Garba Round, and Baal Raas with Mamma kept everyone entertained. Winners were honored with titles like Charming Pair of the Day, Radiant Personality Pair, Fashion Forward Mamma-Kid, and Elegant in Every Step for the ramp walk, and Graceful Garba Queen, Dandiya Diva, Dynamic Dandiya Moves, and more for the garba rounds. The little stars also received awards such as Charming Garba Styler, Garba Fashion Icon, Garba Groover of the Day, and Twinkling Toes.
The mesmerizing event had everyone dancing to the festive beats, and the evening ended with the aarti of Maa Durga, leaving everyone with smiles and wonderful memories. This four-hour extravaganza was filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments!
