Himalaya International School celebrated a momentous occasion on 31st July 2023, as it hosted the highly anticipated Investiture Ceremony. This event marked a significant milestone in the academic calendar, as it officially appointed the student leaders for the forthcoming academic year. The ceremony witnessed the active participation of four spirited houses: Tigers, Panthers, Jaguars, and Lions.
The day commenced with an aura of reverence, as the school community invoked the blessings of the goddess of knowledge through the auspicious Saraswati Puja. The sacred rituals set the stage for a day filled with inspiration and camaraderie.
In a warm and heartfelt welcome address, the School Principal, Ms. Sonal Bhat, set the tone for the proceedings, emphasizing the importance of leadership, responsibility, and unity among the students.
The Investiture Ceremony’s main highlight was the formal investiture of the newly appointed Head Boy, Mr. Yashraj Singh , and Ms. Cherry Mehta from Class XII. With a strong sense of dedication and integrity, they took the oath to lead their fellow students, and their authority was symbolized by the prestigious badges and sashes they wore with pride.
Amidst an esteemed gathering, including the school’s Directors – Mr. Sunil Dora, Ms. Honey Dora, and Mr. Aditya Dora – along with the Academic Director, Mr. H.S. Khalsa, and the Himalaya Kids Principal, Ms. Vini Haque, School Headmistress Ms. Prachi Kapoor the event witnessed a magnificent march past by the students. The four houses displayed unwavering discipline and pride as they paraded in front of the dignitaries.
Adding an enchanting touch to the ceremony, the students enthralled the audience with a captivating group dance performance, displaying the essence of unity and camaraderie among the members of all four houses.
The pinnacle of the event was the awe-inspiring speech by the esteemed Academic Director, Mr. H.S. Khalsa. His words of wisdom ignited the spirits of the young leaders, motivating them to embrace their roles and excel not only in academics but also in extracurricular pursuits.
As the event drew to a close, Senior Teacher Mr. Ashish Agarwal extended a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those who played a pivotal role in making the ceremony a resounding success.
