Himalaya International School Celebrates 78th Independence Day, Honoring the Martyrs
“To those brave souls who sacrificed their youth for our freedom, who fueled the sacred fire of liberty with their spirit…”
With these touching words, Himalaya International School Ratlam, celebrated the 78th Independence Day of India with great pomp and patriotism. The entire function started with flag hoisting done by the Chairman of the school—Mr. Sunil Dora, along with Mrs. Honey Dora, Director Mr. Aditya Dora, Academic Director Mr. H.S. Khalsa, Principal Mrs. Sonal Bhatt, and H.M. Mrs. Prachi Kapoor. Then the whole assembly joined in singing the national anthem and saluted the tri-colour in pride.
Then some spellbinding dance performances by the students enthralled the audience, after which an inter-house patriotic song competition was held. Students of classes six to ten participated in it, with each house putting up melodious performances that left everybody spellbound. Some stirring dance performances infused with a tinge of patriotism, such as a powerful dance drama depicting the lives of army soldiers, left the audience in awe.
One of the day’s highlights was the brilliant performance put up by the hostel students, who left everyone spellbound with their talent on various musical instruments and patriotic songs that filled the air with emotion. Chairman, Mr. Sunil Dora, and Director, Mr. Aditya Dora, appreciated the students for their scintillating dance and musical performances.
Academic Director Mr. H.S. Khalsa shared his views regarding the place of freedom in life and its invaluable cost. Principal Mrs. Sonal Bhatt addressed the students, drawing their attention towards the mammoth struggle and sacrifice for the independence of the nation and implored them to make good use of this hard-won freedom in advancing the nation to new heights.
The programme ended with a lot of happiness, leaving an everlasting impression of patriotism and unity among one and all present.
