HIS-MUN 2.0 (Day-1)

🌐Himalaya International School’s Model United Nations Conference 2024 (HIS-MUN 2.0) Inaugurated: Continuing the Tradition of Excellence🌐

Today, amidst great anticipation and excitement, Himalaya International School (HIS) inaugurated the second edition of its Model United Nations conference, HIS-MUN 2.0. This event, which started in 2023 as the first MUN event of the entire region, has grown significantly under the patronage of school chairman Mr. Sunil Dora, the mentorship of Director Mr. Aditya Dora, the visionary leadership of Academic Director Mr. H. S. Khalsa and able guidance of Esteemed Principal Ms. Sonal Bhatt.

The inauguration ceremony, held on April 27th, 2024, was graced by Special Guest Mr. Sreeniwas Murthi, Deputy General Manager IPCA Laboratories Ltd. and distinguished guests, including School Chairman Mr. Sunil Dora, Honourable Mrs. Honey Dora, Director Mr. Aditya Dora, Academic Director Mr. H S Khalsa, Principal Ms. Sonal Bhatt, and School Alumni Mr. Narayan Dhakad.

Students participating in HIS-MUN 2.0 were prepared diligently by the school’s alumni and engineering graduate, Mr. Narayan Dhakad.
In his opening speech, Academic Director Mr. H S Khalsa inspired all participants and provided detailed information about the event, highlighting its significance in fostering critical thinking and diplomacy among students.

Director Mr. Aditya Dora congratulated the students for their efforts and emphasized key aspects of the MUN experience, encouraging them to engage actively in the debates and discussions.

Principal Ms. Sonal Bhatt reiterated the importance of such events in shaping future leaders and emphasized the role of HIS-MUN in providing a platform for students to develop crucial skills in research, negotiation, and public speaking.
HIS-MUN 2.0 promises to be an enriching experience for all participants, embodying the school’s commitment to academic excellence and global citizenship. With a diverse range of topics and passionate delegates, the conference is set to continue its legacy of fostering leadership and diplomacy among the youth.
